You go to bed with your hair done. You wake up with a head to start over.
In between, nothing happened but eight hours of friction. Your head turns, the pillow resists, and every movement pulls, tangles and charges the fibre. Cotton, on top of that, drinks — it absorbs the hair's moisture along with the care you put in the night before.
What a smooth surface changes
The bonnet wraps your hair in a material where nothing catches. Hair glides instead of resisting. It keeps its moisture, it keeps its treatments, and above all it keeps the shape you gave it.
This is not a hair treatment. It is the opposite: it stops the night from undoing what you did.
Who feels the difference most
- Curly or textured hair. Curls no longer flatten on one side overnight.
- After a blow-dry. It holds for days instead of one — that is usually where the bonnet pays for itself fastest.
- Long or fragile hair. Less friction along the lengths, so less breakage.
The band is the whole problem with bonnets
Too loose and it comes off in the night; you find it at the foot of the bed. Too tight and it marks your forehead, and you stop wearing it after three nights. This one has a soft, wide band that holds without compressing.
Who it is not for
If your hair is very short, there is little point: there is not enough length for friction to cost you anything. Better to know first.
Everyday care
- Soft elasticated band, one size
- Delicate wash at 30 °C, dry flat
- Do not machine spin
The pair with the pillowcase
The bonnet protects your hair, the silk pillowcase protects your face — the pillow creases and the marked complexion in the morning. Both treat the same cause, friction, in two different places.
